Spring Migration has begun with neotropical migrants making their first
appearance.

The Golden Plover found by Janice Chadwell on March 28 was still present
behind Boyd Buchanan School (Brainerd Levee) around 5:30 PM.

Three Lesser Yellowlegs and a few Pectoral and Least Sandpipers were also
present at the Brainerd Levee on March 28.

The first report of Whip-poor-will  came on March 25 and the first report of
Lousiana Waterthrush on March 26 both from Signal Mountain (Sequatchie co.)

The first report of Solitary Sandpiper came from the levee on March 24, one
Great Egret was also present. (Marty Paige)

The first report of Broad-winged Hawk and Osprey (2) came from the Soddy
Mountain hawkwatch on March 28 (Bill Haley).

The next general meeting of the Chattanooga TOS will be on April 11 at
7:00PM at the Accension Luthern Church, 720 South Germantown Rd.

Be on the lookout for more neotropical migrants.
