October 17, 2009 Hawkins County: John Sevier Lake and vicinity Observers, in motorboat: Mike Hubley , Susan Hubley , Don Miller Mike and Susan Hubley provided me a highly enjoyable (and productive) tour of John Sevier Lake this morning and early afternoon. Besides the Common Moorhen (posted by Susan earlier today), we also observed the following: Wood Duck (45) American Wigeon Blue-winged Teal (4) Pied-billed Grebe (6) Double-crested Cormorant (10) Black Vulture (40) Osprey Bald Eagle (2) Merlin American Coot (68) Ring-billed Gull Chimney Swift (15) Tree Swallow (55+) Northern Rough-winged Swallow (45+) Barn Swallow (3) Brown Thrasher (3) American Pipit Yellow-rumped Warbler Palm Warbler Swamp Sparrow (3) Thanks, guys, for a great bird trip.
