My Mom and I spent April Fool's Day at the Duck River Unit. There is a ton of
good shorebird habitat around. A few highlights: 200+ of both yellowlegs. 9
species of shorebird total including a Long-billed Dowitcher and a early Stilt
Sandpiper. Several hundred herons and egrets.Lots of Bald Eagles including 14
in view at one time.
