I've always had Eastern Towhees in the small thicket at my home in west Knox County; they fly into the thicket and from there cautiously come and feed underneath the hanging feeders a couple feet away. They're been at least 6 of them, though not all seen at the same time. I can't remember a time when they're weren't towhees out back (in fact, in a way it was a towhee that got me started birding; I saw one in the yard, was curious and looked through pages of birds on enature until I found it) but I haven't seen any for at least a week and don't even hear them in the wooded lot next door. If anyone has seen my towhees, please send them home.
