Tn. NWR
Duck River Unit
Humphreys County
1-4-09

A visit to Duck River Unit today produced views of thousands of
waterfowl of at least seven spieces. A raft of several thousand
birds were on Duck River, drifting in and out of a misty fog which
made identifying less than easy.

Mallard, Can. and Cackling Geese, Bufflehead, Am. Wigeon,
Gadwall and Northern Shoveler were present. Bald Eagle,
Northern Harrier Red-shouldered and Red-tailed Hawk were
also seen.
