Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery
Anderson Co.
March 7-8, 2012

Spent some time at Eagle Bend yesterday and today. I don't bird much in East
TN, so I'm not sure what's to be expected, but I got a Palm Warbler by the
building yesterday (my first non-Yellow-rumped warbler of the year), an
American Pipit yesterday, four Wilson's Snipes today, and two Bonaparte's Gulls
today (a new life bird and longtime nemesis of mine) trying to hide among a
large flock of Ring-bills. Also got a rather poor look at two sparrows
yesterday that I'm fairly certain were Savannah Sparrows. And finally, a female
Bufflehead and female Redhead were on the pond closest to the entrance both
days.
