July 8, 2007 New Market, Jefferson County Returning to Greeneville from Knoxville this afternoon, my wife and I decided to forego a chunk of interstate and travel Highway 11-E from Strawberry Plains to Jefferson City. As we drove through New Market, I found three Eurasian Collared-Doves on light wires along the highway. Two were at the EMS station located at the intersection of 11-E and Hill Drive. The third was at the sign for Scarlett's Dairy, located along 11-E 0.1 mile east of where the other birds were seen. These birds were observed precisely where Dean Edwards has posted having seen ECDO many times over the last few years. Thanks, Dean, for accurate information.
