Yesterday, October 22, our first-of-the-season White-crowned Sparrow
jumped out of the brush pile in our yard and brought smiles to our
faces. We now have the three winter ground birds we look forward to
with much anticipation. Our FOS White-throated Sparrow arrived October
5, followed a week later, October 12, by a couple of Dark-eyed Juncos.
Now we look forward to some snow to provide the perfect background for
these little beauties.
