I went out one morning earlier this week to find three feeders on the ground under one tree. One, a platform feeder I had made, was torn apart. I set a live trap and yesterday morning found a rabbit in it. I suspected strongly that the rabbit wasn't guilty of the feeder damage, so I set the trap again last night. This morning I went out to find an agressive raccoon in a high state of agitation due to severe "teasing" from our two 100lb. plus Labs. We've lived at this location seven years and have never had such damage before. I'm wondering if others have had such experiences with 'coons. The little masked bandit has now been removed from the area but, just to be safe, I'll set the trap again tonight.
