After a hospital stay with Covid pneumonia, I have spent many hours at home
recovering. As soon as I could I headed to our Wild Birds Store to buy
birdseed and set up some new feeding stations.
Lots of time watching backyard birds allowed me to see a Cooper’s Hawk catch a
bird at my feeders and today I saw a Female Summer Tanager on the sunflower
feeder. I believe last year one was spotted in my yard several times in the
winter. I of course have no idea if this is the same one who failed to migrate
last year but makes you wonder.
