The growing number of TN-Birds subscribers who are also e-Bird contributors should take a read through this article on the importance of adding comments to your e-bird checklist submissions:
http://ebird.org/content/wi/news/theimportanceofcommentsThough it was specifically written for and about Wisconsin eBird users, it applies to Tennessee as well. FYI as of this morning there are 767 flagged records needing review by the three Tennessee regional editors, and a quick look shows that well under half of these have any comments at all. Remember, times change, birders come and go, bird population shifts, and hopefully the eBird database will outlive us all and our personal reputations, leaving only our written notes behind to inform posterity.
