Cocke County: Dutch Bottoms (DB), Rankin Wildlife Management Area
(RWMA), and vicinity;
Jefferson County: Douglas Lake shoreline at J.M. Walters Bridge on
Highway 25-E
I observed the following this afternoon:
American White Pelican (RWMA);
Double-crested Cormorant (2 Cocke Co., 1 Jefferson Co.);
Great Egret (70 Cocke Co., 10 Jefferson Co.);
Little Blue Heron (3 immatures RWMA);
Broad-winged Hawk (RWMA);
Black-bellied Plover (Jefferson Co.);
Lesser Yellowlegs (RWMA);
Spotted Sandpiper (2 RWMA);
Semipalmated Sandpiper (RWMA);
Least Sandpiper (3 RWMA);
Stilt Sandpiper (1 Jefferson Co., 1 RWMA);
Ring-billed Gull (6 DB);
Forster's Tern (3 DB);
Northern Rough-winged Swallow (25 Jefferson Co., 7 Cocke Co.).
