Keith Watson and I Birded Greene County on Friday with some great suggestions
from a local birder. Our list included:
14 Rusty Blackbirds across the street from Briar Patch Baptist Church.
20 Greater White Fronted Geese, in a farm field on Murray Branch Rd.
2 Lesser Yellowlegs at Joachim Bible refuge.
1 Barn Owl at(JBR)
2 Great Egrets (JBR)
A flock of 40 Wilson's Snipe just South of exit 12 off Interstate 81.
2 Eurasian Collared Doves about a mile South of Exit 12 off Interstate 81.
It was a great day to be out in Greene County and I would highly suggest
birding there!
