[TN-Bird] Friday Hiwassee Area Report

A flock of about 2 dozen redhead ducks and a few gadwalls were at the Hiwassee 
Wildlife Refuge viewing area in Meigs County about 4 p.m. today. Later, at the 
Cherokee Removal Memorial Park, the highlights of my observations were: about 
300 sandhill cranes, 1 osprey (near the CRMP viewing area), and 1 whooping 
crane (about 5:35 p.m.) on a distant mud bar in the Tennessee River near 
Hiwassee Island.
