Subject: Hamilton County Shorebird Bonanza II
A good variety of shorebirds (10 species) for Hamilton County were observed
mid-day to early afternoon by a number of birders. Clyde Blum and Jennifer
Rydell found a WILSON'S PHALAROPE at Standifer Gap Marsh which?initiated a
migration of birders to the site. This is the first Wilson's Phalarope record
for the county in quite a few years. Also seen at?the Marsh were the following:
Semipalmated Plover 1
Killdeer 12
Greeater Yellowlegs 1
Lesser Yellowlegs 4
Solitary Sandpiper 2
Spotted Sandpiper 2
Semipalmated Sandpiper 5
Least Sandpiper 50+
White-rumped Sandpiper 2
WILSON'S PHALAROPE 1
BLACK TERN 2
