I am trying to put together a boat trip (advertized earlier through ALbirds) for a boat trip near Wheeler Dam (lower Wheeler and upper Wilson Reservoirs). The plan will be to leave Joe Wheeler State Park (Rogersville, AL) at 1:00 Sunday, September 22 and return around sunset. This area is great for fall gulls (had Ring-billed, Laughing, Franklin's and Lesser Black-backed at the dam this past Monday) and being on the open water gives the opportunity for rarities such as jaegers and Sabine's Gulls. This is also a nice opportunity to lock through Wheeler Dam and end the day with a beautiful sunset on Wheeler Reservoir. The cost will be $30.00per person. We have to have 12 people to meet the minimum cost of the trip. As of now, I have nine folks signed up. If any Tennessee birders are interested in crossing state lines for some birding, contact me at either my work (djsimbeck@xxxxxxx) or personal (tnbarredowl@xxxxxxx) emaiI. I will need to call Captain Steve tomorrow afternoon, so let me know by noon tomorrow. Damien Simbeck Killen, AL . __,_._,___ Damien Simbeck Killen, AL . __,_._,___
