After dropping off the kiddo at school this morning I went by the Stones River Battlefield to see if I could find any migrant flocks. After a bit of striking out, the flock came to me and I eventually found an adult male Golden-winged Warbler in the group. After years of birding the county, I've finally found one and it was awesome. Other species in the flock included Tennessee, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia Warbler, N. Parula, American Redstart, a Veery, a few singing White-eyed Vireos and a couple Eastern Wood-pewee's were around. A couple male Summer Tanagers were hanging out as well. Good birding! Scott Somershoe
