I drive out to the pond on Floyd Rd. near Leiper’s Fork in hopes of the Common
Goldeneye still being around. They were, and in addition to them and the other
waterfowl around, there was a pair of GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE and a single
ROSS’S GOOSE. I am going to review my pictures and seek additional opinions to
confirm the Ross’s isn’t a hybrid. Both these species of Geese are new for me
in Williamson County.
