All,
Just a reminder that today starts the GBBC, so eBird filters are a little
tighter for the next week or so. Species that are hard to ID or commonly
confused, like purple finch among many others, are set at 0 and will flag
"rare". If and when you trip these flags, make usual notes about continuing
birds or something so the review team can approve them. Please don't get
bent out of shape because a regular bird in your yard now flags as rare,
it's just for the GBBC. We know the Red-breasted nuthatch isn't that
rare..... :)
Total side note, but 2 weeks ago I did a big bike ride and got all three
Rosy-Finches (and a rare for here Brown Thrasher, which was also #301 for
