March 19, 2011 [posted March 20, 2011] Grainger County: Cherokee Lake and immediate vicinity Greene County: Greeneville, etc. Hamblen County: Whitesburg and points along the shore of Cherokee Lake Jefferson County: Cherokee Dam area and Jefferson City A trip to Cherokee Lake, along with a few stops in Greene County, produced a nice assortment of late winter-early spring observations.
