Harpeth River Greenway Bellevue, Davidson Co., TN 2014 Nov. 1 This Saturday morning I went walking in the chilly weather at one of my usual weekend spots. At the far end of the walk, I looked up and saw a large raptor being chased by 3 AMERICAN CROWs. A quick tilt of the binoculars showed the raptor to be an adult BALD EAGLE. It flew low and directly over my head before passing beyond the tree line on the nearby hill. Returning toward my car along the greenway I found a LINCOLN'S SPARROW in the trees on the edge of the small manmade lake next to Morton Mill Road. The lake, which can at times have unusual ducks, had just a pair of MALLARDs. I also saw a large flock of AMERICAN GOLDFINCH but no Pine Siskins.
