Knox County,

I took a quick hike up House Mounting yesterday evening at 5:30. Not much
bird activity but a few were still singing: Red-eyed, Yellow-throated and
Blue-headed Vireos, Hooded and Pine Warblers, Wood Thrush and 4 woodpeckers:
Pileated, Hairy, Downy and one adult male RED-HEADED on top of the ridge
just east of the cell tower in the dead trees on the north side of the
ridge. I don't recall seeing any there before and don't see any records on
e-bird for this site.
