I stopped by Eagle Bend Hatchery in Clinton this morn. ~7:30. Very little shorebird activity (1 Pectoral SP, a small flying flock of who-knows-what). Most interesting, though is what appears to me (at the 90% confidence level) to be an imm. Little blue Heron. The bird is hanging around, and in, the concrete irrigation ditch to the right of the road just past the office bldg. I would be inerested in hearing from others who visit there to see if anyone else sees and IDs it. It may be an imm. Snowy Egret, but several points argue against that. I wont bias others with the points that make me think that it's a Little Blue.
