This trip should be convenient to folks in the Crossville and Chattanooga areas. Sunday, May 18, 10 a.m. to Noon Watts Bar Lake, Kingston, TN Leader: Kathy Bivens (865-983-7349, cell 865-250-6410). Cost: $14.95 + tax This field trip is a two-hour charter cruise aboard the Watts Bar Belle, a split-wheel paddleboat that is wheelchair accessible and equipped with bathrooms. Potential bird sightings include waterfowl, shorebirds, osprey, and herons and eagles on their nests. Bring your scopes! If there is enough interest, the group may visit the ash ponds at Kingston Steam Plant after lunch. [Box lunches are available on the boat for an additional $13 charge.] The Belle is located about a mile south of I-40, exit 352, on S. Kentucky St in the Hwy 58 Landing Park.
