I got a little time off last night and this morning (11-29-14) to glass a few
of the best spots around the Lake.
  Pace Point:
Had six species of Woodpecker here, missing only Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
Huge raft of Red-breasted Merganser off the West side at dusk, counted 325
birds. Not enough light to pick out any Common Merganser (for me).
4 Eastern Screech Owl, all of them heard only, at four different locations on
the way out of  Pace Point.
  Bennett's Creek Overlook:
Huge numbers of Mallards, probably more than 10,000
But I didn't have time to estimate
   600 Ring-necked Ducks.
A few Pintails and Black Ducks mixed in.
  Paris Landing:
Several hundred Scaup (at least 45 of which were Greater).
  Over a hundred Common Golden-eye.
  Several dozen Redheads.
  Antioch Road:
Large flock of white-throated Sparrows with one interesting bird mixed in.
(Heavily streaked breast, black malar and lateral throat-stripe) Otherwise
looked good for White-throated. Possible Hybrid with Song Sparrow? Has anyone
seen a Hybrid like this?
  Britain Ford:
  Good Geese numbers, 5 species.
  Greater-White fronted 300
  Snow 65
  Ross's, atleast 5
  Cackling,  several.
Also a group of Red-breasted Merganser and Good looks at a female Common
Merganser from unusually close range, the bird flew in while I was present and
proceeded to dive, never holding still long enough for a photo!
  One Krider's Hawk.
I had a total of 22 waterfowl species, (collectively) missing only Wood Duck
and Canvasback.
