This afternoon, Alice Loftin and I drove some areas in western Greene
County that we hadn't visited for a while and found some nice
surprises. The highlights were Cliff Swallows (100+) swarming around
Bewley's Bridge on Highway 340 near the Cocke County line and two
Kentucky Warblers singing on Little Warrensburg Road a few miles away.
One bird even gave me a brief look.

I have very few summer records of Kentucky Warbler in the county, and
none from the Warrensburg area. There aren't many extensive wooded areas
in that part of Greene County, so the likelihood of getting Kentucky
Warbler there is slim.

Greeneville, TN
