Ran through the Craig Cove "island" area at the tip of the Lyon's Bend
peninsula in Knox County this morning. There were 2 Great Egrets in the cove,
at least 2 Green Herons, a female Wood Duck with 3 ducklings (looked to be
about a week old), 1 cormorant, 1 Black-crowned Night Heron, and 1
YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT HERON. I've seen black-crowns there fairly regularly,
but this was the first time I've seen a yellow-crown. Last week there were 4
Great Egrets in the same area.
