I think I speak for many when I say a big round of applause goes to Jimmie and Cynthia Wilkerson for their efforts in keeping everyone informed about the goings on with the Whooping Cranes. I know everyone was anxious to see the phenomenon, and Jimmie and Cynthia gave many people the opportunity to see the cranes, or at least talk with the fantastic people involved with restoring these impressive birds (i.e. Operation Migration, TWRA, and many others). We are fortunate to have a location where people can congregate to view the arrival and departure of the cranes, and we are even more fortunate to have the involvement of the Wilkersons!
