Phil and I stopped by Kykker Bottoms, Blount County for about 1 1/2 hours this morning and were delighted to find that the migrants really are arriving. The first bird heard and seen - Orchard Oriole. At least 4 Yellow-breasted Chats and 2 male Indigo Buntings. There was an American Wigeon, Mallard, Wilson's Snipe, Solitary Sandpiper and three Lesser Yellowlegs in the area in front of the viewing stand. Also of interest, there was a Greylag goose with a Canada and several goslings.....Might be some interesting Hybrids to identify this fall. Total species: 29. Carolyn and Phil Snow Loudon, TN
