I saw perhaps my last hummingbird of the season this morning. I haven't
noticed any in the last few days but I put out fresh water on Sunday. This
morning while it was barely light (the inside light was brighter than the
overcast day), a hummingbird flew up to my window, looked at me and then flew
off. I never saw it stop and drink. I watched the feeder off and on all day
but never saw another hummer. It was as if he was saying goodbye....
