The TBRC wishes to thank all of you who have taken the time to document
and submit your rare bird records, and especially for those records that
are accompanied by photos which are valuable documentation and makes our
job much easier. One of our jobs as TBRC is to review and discuss your
reports, determine and vote on whether there is sufficient evidence to
accept as a record.
Current members of the committee are Phillip Casteel, Ron Hoff, Daniel
Jacobson, David Kirschke (alternate) Chris Sloan, Ruben Stoll (secretary)
and Terry Witt.

GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE (quiscalus mexicanus) written documentation and photo
of 1 male and 1 female submitted by Mark Greene from Linwood Bend boat
ramp, Boothspoint, Dyer County on 27th April 2016 accepted 6-0
SNOWY PLOVER (charadrius nivosas) written documentation and photo of 1
adult submitted by Mark Greene, Ben Parker Road, Lake County on 31st March
2016, accepted 6-0
PARASITIC JAEGER (stercorarius parasiticus) Written documentation and
photos of 1 subadult submitted by Mark Greene, Gibson County Lake, Gibson
County on 9th September 2016, accepted 6-0
YELLOW WARBLER (setophaga petechia) written documentation and photos
submitted by Stefan Woltmann at Austin Peay State University, Montgomery

BROAD-BILLED HUMMINGBIRD (cyananthus latirostris) Written documentation and

by the TBRC as a first state record will be added to the State list.
LIMPKIN (aramus guarauna) Written documentation of 1 adult submitted by
Dwight Cooley at TN River mile 449.5, Chattanooga, Marion County on 24th

COMMON MERGANSER (mergus merganser) Written documentation and photos of one
adult female and up to 8 chicks submitted by Jeremy Lloyd, Logan Rosenberg
and Emily Rosenberg on the Little River, Walland TN, Blount County on 29th

BRONZED COWBIRD (molothrus aeneus) Written documentation and photos of 1
adult male submitted by Holly Writt, Bartlett, TN, Shelby County on 30th
November, 2017, accepted 6-0 by the TBRC as a first state record will be
added to the State list.
GREAT KISKADEE (pitangus sulphuratus) Written documentation and sketch of 1
adult submitted by Mark Greene at Hatchie NWR, Haywood County on 4th May,
2018 accepted 6-0 by the TBRC as a first state record will be added to the
State list under the provisional category (single observer lacking photos)
CRESTED CARACARA (caracara cheriway) Written documentation and photos of
one bird submitted by Mark Greene from Booths Point, Dyer County on 20th
September 2017, accepted 6-0 by the TBRC as a first state record will be
added to the official State list.
If you have submitted a record that was not included in this report it is
probably still under review.
