Davidson and Robertson County

Cyndi and I headed down to Snow Bunting peninsula and spotted the Least
Bittern in the vegetation to the left of the point as you look out at the
lake. He was well hidden to say the least, as Cyndi spotted it then pointed
it out to me. I was staring right at it, but didn't see it for several
seconds until she put it in the scope. (Thanks, Hon!) It was still there at
3:30 PM.
On our way home, we drove Cyndi's Loggerhead Shrike route in Robertson
County. It was good to still see shrikes on Homer Worsham Road and Ogg
Road, but the real highlight on Ogg Rd. was a small tree with an early
foraging RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH amongst others, including Chestnut-sided
Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, 2 Eastern Pewees, 2 Empids and a
White-breasted Nuthatch for good measure.
