Chad Smith and I spent the day at Duck River NWR and various spots around Ky Lake and Lake Barkley The best bird was a third year LBBG seen on Gull Island off Paris Landing Also on the island were Herring, Ring-billed, and Bonaparte's Gulls, plus 4 A White Pelicans A peregrine strafed the group and sent all airborne While we were standing on the bridge, a Fish Crow called several times Heard at various spots were Yellow-throated Warblers, a N Parula, and La Waterthrushes The largest concentration of pelicans was a group of 50 at the mouth of Big Sandy Waterfowl seen included a raft of 15 Red-breasted Mergansers, many GW and BW Teals The only shorebirds seen were Pectoral Sandpipers, Wilson's Snipe, and Killdeer There were 6 Forster's Terns at Eagle Creek, with a large gull roost Terry Witt Murfreesboro Tn =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
