The first gull of any species I have ever seen in Lewis County appeared at the Hohenwald Wastewater Plant on Wednesday 11/26/2014. Finally looking at my photos, it looks like an interesting study for those who are into gull molt sequences. Any thoughts as to this bird's age and place in the plumage sequence? I only saw it on the wing with the naked eye briefly, but it seemed to have a fair bit of white in the primaries. For starters, of course, the head pattern and bill make it a Bonaparte's. It was quite distant, so this is the clearest shot I could get.
