On our way to visit family in North Carolina today, my wife Alice Loftin
and I stopped briefly at Rock Creek Recreation Area near Erwin and found
a Louisiana Waterthrush, our first of the year. The habitat at RCRA has
been damaged by flooding in the recent past but still looks inviting for
waterthrushes.

Also present were Blue-headed Vireo (2) and Black-throated Green Warbler
(2).
