Russ Wells photographed a ridiculous early Louisiana Waterthrush yesterday (Feb
22) in Perry Co. There’s one previous winter (Dec-Feb) record. I guess this is
a super early migrant? Remarkable record regardless. This bird should have no
problem finding flooded areas to forage with all the rain you all keep getting!
Victor Stoll pointed out this may be the 16th warbler species reported in the
state this winter!
