MTSU ponds & Walmart ponds
Rutherford County
8/28/12
It was a veritable shorebird bonanza (by local standards) at the MTSU ponds
this evening, with 7 species, broken down as follows:
Short-billed Dowitcher - 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 2
Solitary Sandpiper - 6
Spotted Sandpiper - 1
Wilson's Snipe - 1
Killdeer - 5
Least Sandpiper - 21
Also 5 Leasts and a single Semipalmated at the western Walmart pond.
