[TN-Bird] Maxson Pits Sunday Sept 7, 2017

Greetings birders,

I had the pleasure to bird the Maxson Pits with Virginia Reynolds and Gaynell 
Perry this past Sunday, Sept. 7 and we enjoyed sifting through the Sandpipers 
and looking for whatever would show itself.  Overall not a bad day, although 
the Black Terns, Short-billed Dowitcher and Red Knot appear to have moved 
onward.  All of the usual suspects were present including to name a few:

71 Black-bellied Duck (had 3 broods with chicks that was exciting)
25 Semipalmated SP
150+ Killdeer
1 Spotted SP
2 Solitary SP
6 Lesser Yellowlegs
6 Stilt SP
2500+ Least SP
76 Pectoral SP
12 Semipalmated Plover
1 Wilson's Phalarope
