I made a trip today to Memphis and the Ensley Sewage Lagoons/TVA Lake in hopes of finally nailing Neotropic Cormoranr for my state list.
I arrived at 1230 and over 3 hours there was no sign of the bird

Thousands of shorebirds are present and I saw 14 species including one Baird's SP, 3 Buff-breasted SPs, and one Wilson's Phalarope.

The ponds along Riverport Drive are all dry except one which had several hundres egrets and about 20 Wood Storks.  Jeff Wilson came along later and counted 63!!!

Cheers
