The Memphis chapter has some outstanding activities in store for April.
It's a wonderful month for mid-south birders, and our first field trip is
this Saturday!
This Sat., April 9 - Field trip to Wall Doxey State Park, south of Holly
Springs, MS. Meet at the parking lot at 8:00 a.m. Entrance fee is $3 per
car. Bob Ilardi is our guide.

Wed., April 13 - Field trip to Shelby Farms Greenline near the Wolf River
with Dick Preston. Meet at the Podesta Street entrance at Podesta & Boswell

Church, 2425 S. Germantown Rd., Germantown, TN. Chris Sloan, co-author of
The Birds of Tennessee: An Annotated Checklist, presents a program on Papua
New Guinea. Refreshments served.

Sat., April 23* - Field trip to the Wolf River Environmental Restoration
Greenway Trail System led by Jay Walko. Meet at the main parking lot on the
north side of the river at 7:30 a.m.
Jay's directions from Collierville: Head north on Collierville-Arlington Rd
(Hwy 205) across the Wolf River bridge. In about 1/2 mile there will be a
pond on your right. Slow down as the entrance comes up fast on your left.
The main entrance is marked by a sign that's next door to a farm house.
Slowly follow the gravel road; this trail has a lot of bird activity. Go
down to the parking area.
