In 2013 I recorded seeing a first ever Nashville Warbler at Yuchi Refuge in
Rhea County. Now, with more experience, I doubt that my sighting that fall was
credible. On Sunday afternoon, October 6, 2019, I did observe and confidently
identify a Nashville Warbler on my property in Birchwood (Hamilton County). On
October 6, I also saw 2 Blackburnian Warblers along with at least 4 Tennessee
Warblers and at least 4 Magnolia Warblers.
Today, October 8, 2019, I was able to observe a total of 6 warbler species, all
on my property. The six were: Black-&-white – 1; Tennessee – 4; Magnolia – 3;
Bay-breasted – 1; Blackburnian – 1; and Chestnut-sided -1.
