Radnor Lake
Davidson Co.
I leave tomorrow on a trip to AZ so wanted one last look at our eastern
migrants at Radnor Lake this morning. Boy was I glad I went. I hit the
jackpot at
the ranger's house on the dam. There were 10 warblers plus a few other
migrants in one almost completely bare tree just behind the house, very
actively
foraging on something undetectable. With the sun at my back and almost no
leaves on the tree, every bird was completely visible, and they stayed for
about 30
minutes! Incredible.

In one tree:
Eastern Wood-Pewee
Cedar Waxwings
Philadelphia Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Tennessee
Nashville
Yellow
Magnolia
Yellow-rumped
Black-throated Green
Blackburnian
Palm
Blackpolls
Redstart
Scarlet Tanager

Also on the Lake Trail:
Double-crested Cormorant
Cooper's Hawk with an avian meal
Broad-winged
Red-tailed
Acadian Flycatcher
Great Crested Flycatcher
Veery
Gray-cheeked Thrush
Swainson's Thrush
Northern Parula
Chestnut-sided
Cape May
Prothonotary
Louisiana Waterthrush
Kentucky
Hooded
Canada
Summer Tanager
Indigo Bunting
