The deadline for comments is March 19th
The Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed a rule change that would severely
weaken the Migratory Bird Treaty Act allowing industry to “take” birds as long
as their intent was not to kill birds. That means that BP would have been off
the hook for the million birds that died from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
