I see that the flocks of birds are spreading out every morning from 5 different sites along the Mississippi River. Ever since Jeff Wilson pointed this phenomena out last summer, I have to check it out every few days. Worth looking at some morning if you have never seen the blue "doughnuts" formed as the birds leave their roosts with the coming of daylight. Maybe Jeff can tell us what species these are by looking at the patterns, but I know he already knows what they are without looking. Hows 'bout it Jeff, what are we looking at? http://www.intellicast.com/Local/USLocalWide.asp?loc=knqa&seg=LocalWeather&prodgrp=NEXRADimagery&product=BaseReflectivityLoop&prodnav=none&pid=none =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Topographical Maps located at http://topozone.com/find.asp * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the Tennessee Ornithological Society web site at http://www.tnbirds.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net Owner: Wallace Coffey, Bristol, TN jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxx (423) 764-3958 =========================================================
