Thanks for all the responses about the Mississippi Kite I saw in Clarksville
yesterday. As someone who has spent the last 9 years around New Orleans (where
Mississippi Kites are everywhere all summer long), I really didn't give this
enough thought. Was just such a familiar sight to me.
I also learned that Mississippi Kites hatched in Kansas have been released not
too too far west of Clarksville (Henry Co. area) - an easy jaunt from there to
here for a kite.
