On 08-08-12, I hired Joan E. Collins of Adirondack Avian Expeditions to take me
to photograph boreal birds. (A full list of heard and seen birds are posted on
the internet). The birds I am most proud of photographing are the merlin,
black-billed cuckoo (a rare delight), f. black-backed woodpecker, and gray jay
(see attachments). Joan is a very nice lady and a great, as well as
experienced, bird guide. She also takes some individuals into the mountains to
photograph rare birds. FYI if interested in birding the Adirondacks.
