We get a fair number of 'confusing fall warblers' in our yard each year. The water feature we installed 6 years ago generally lets us get pretty good looks so that we can identify 99% of what shows up. Today we had a visitor I do not recognize. It may well be a first fall Kentucky warbler, but some of the field marks are absent. I did manage to get a few pictures of the bird. They can be seen at: http://www.birdnerds.com/Yardbirds/uknwarbler/index.htm These are photos straight from the camera, not cropped or edited in any way. The lack of yellow in the lores, supercilium, and around and behind the eyes bothers me. The amount of black and gray above the eye is also bothersome. A few of the pictures also show a brown crown patch. Confused in Knoxville Dan Mooney
