A dry cool day on Sunday allowed me to get in some much needed yardwork. Also a relatively good day for migrants for this late in the season with 5 warbler and 3 vireo species. Not much movement noted overnight and some of the same birds were seen again on Monday. Highlights below, all from west Knox Co, on 18-19 Oct. Blue-headed Vireo, 1 on 10/18 Philadelphia Vireo, 1 on 10/18 Red-eyed Vireo, 1 on 10/18 Ruby-crowned Kinglet, several both days, VERY hyperactive on 10/18 Tennessee Warbler, 1 both days Nashville Warbler, 1 on 10/18 Black-throated Green Warbler, 3 on 10/18, 1 on 10/19 'Myrtle' Yellow-rumped Warbler, 3+ on 10/18, 1 on 10/19 Ovenbird, 1 picking seeds under the feeder both days Chipping Sparrow, 3+ both days Dean Edwards Knoxville, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
