The Norris Christmas Bird Count will be held Saturday, December 14. This
count, first conducted in 1968, is centered on Norris Dam. The count circle
includes parts of Norris Lake, Norris Dam State Park, the Songbird Trail
and the Norris Dam tailwater, Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery, Anderson County
Park, Loyston Recreation Area, and an area of the Cumberland Mountains near
Rocky Top.
The count is in dire need of more observers. Please contact me via email if
