TN-birders, Sharon Bostick, Frank Bills, Dollyann Myers, and I went to the Norris Dam songbird trail in Anderson Co. this morning to try to find some migrants. At the northernmost parking lot, we immediately noticed many Cedar Waxwings in the treetops along the river. Very soon after we got there they were buzzed by a Merlin. It made a couple of passes then disappeared. Lots of the usual birds were around and active. Other highlights were warblers. We had a couple of Cape May warblers, a Canada, and a Bay-breasted. 10 species of warblers total. Great birding, Ron Hoff Clinton, TN
